Accommodation Terms and Conditions
Snow Goose (hereinafter referred to as “the Accommodation”) shall conclude accommodation agreements with guests in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “these Terms”). Matters not stipulated in these Terms shall be governed by laws, regulations, or generally established customs.
Article 1 (Scope of Application)
- Accommodation agreements concluded between the Accommodation and guests, and related agreements, shall be subject to these Terms. Matters not stipulated in these Terms shall be governed by laws, regulations, or generally established customs.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if the Accommodation accepts a special agreement to the extent not contrary to laws, regulations, and customs, that special agreement shall take precedence.
Article 2 (Application for Accommodation Agreement)
- Guests who wish to apply for an accommodation agreement with the Accommodation shall notify the Accommodation of the following matters:
- (1) Names of all guests, representative’s contact information (telephone number, email address)
- (2) Date(s) of stay and estimated time of arrival
- (3) Number of guests
- (4) Other matters specified by the Accommodation
- If a guest requests to continue their stay beyond the scheduled check-out date (as per item (1) of the preceding paragraph) during their stay, the Accommodation shall treat such request as a new application for an accommodation agreement.
Article 3 (Formation of Accommodation Agreement, etc.)
- An accommodation agreement shall be deemed to be formed when the Accommodation accepts the application referred to in the preceding Article and issues a reservation confirmation as prescribed by the Accommodation.
- The Accommodation may request the guest to pay the accommodation fee by the date specified by the Accommodation after the formation of the accommodation agreement in paragraph 1.
Article 4 (Refusal to Conclude Accommodation Agreement)
The Accommodation may not accept the conclusion of an accommodation agreement in the following cases:
- When the accommodation application does not conform to these Terms.
- When the entire property is fully booked and there is no availability.
- When the person seeking accommodation is deemed likely to act in violation of laws, public order, or good morals concerning accommodation.
- When the person seeking accommodation is clearly identified as a contagious disease carrier.
- When the person seeking accommodation imposes an unreasonable burden on the Accommodation (e.g., excessive cleaning requests).
- When the Accommodation is unable to provide accommodation due to natural disaster, facility malfunction, or other unavoidable circumstances.
- When there are specific provisions in prefectural ordinances.
- When the guest has previously violated the Accommodation’s house rules.
- In other cases where the Accommodation deems the accommodation inappropriate.
Article 5 (Cancellation of Contract)
- Guests may cancel the accommodation agreement by notifying the Accommodation.
- If a guest cancels the accommodation agreement in whole or in part due to reasons attributable to the guest (excluding cases where the Accommodation requests payment of the accommodation fee by a specified deadline as per paragraph 3, and such payment is not made), a cancellation fee shall be charged as stipulated in the separate table.
- If a guest does not arrive by the accommodation date without prior notice, the Accommodation may deem the accommodation agreement cancelled by the guest and process it accordingly.
Article 6 (Accommodation Registration)
Guests shall register the following matters at the Accommodation’s designated location (including online pre-registration for self-check-in) on the day of accommodation:
- Names, address, and contact information of all guests
- For foreign nationals, nationality, passport number.
- Estimated time of arrival.
- Other matters deemed necessary by the Accommodation (e.g., emergency contact).
Article 7 (Check-in / Check-out)
- The time during which guests may use the Accommodation’s facilities shall be from the check-in time (typically 15:00) to the check-out time (typically 11:00) specified by the Accommodation.
- If a guest uses the Accommodation’s facilities after check-out time, the Accommodation shall charge an additional fee.
- As the Accommodation is a whole-house rental, staff are not generally on-site. Guests are requested to follow the Accommodation’s specified check-in and check-out procedures (e.g., self-check-in).
Article 8 (Compliance with House Rules)
Guests shall comply with the house rules established by the Accommodation within the Accommodation premises (posted separately on the website or within the facility). Guests shall be responsible for any damages incurred due to non-compliance with the house rules.
Article 9 (Responsibility of the Accommodation)
- The Accommodation shall compensate guests for damages incurred by them due to the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of the accommodation agreement and related agreements. However, this shall not apply if the damage is not attributable to the Accommodation.
- The Accommodation is insured by fire insurance and liability insurance for facilities, but guests are requested to manage their own belongings.
Article 10 (Responsibility of the Guest)
If a guest causes damage to the Accommodation’s facilities or equipment due to intent or negligence, the guest shall compensate for such damage.
