Myoko, Niigata
Private residence, one group per day
Inheriting a lodge beloved by many as Pension Snow Goose since its founding in 1985, we began a new chapter in 2025 as Snow Goose. Its presence is one of quiet seclusion, situated on a road just off the main prefectural highway and embraced by deep forest in front and back. The scenic Imori Pond, the Myoko Kogen Visitor Center, and the telework facility MYOKO BASE CAMP are all within a five-minute walk, while four ski resorts and two golf courses are dotted within a ten-minute drive. From the windows, the ridgeline of Mt. Myoko feels intimately close. The space, which treasures yohaku—the Japanese aesthetic of meaningful empty space—is filled with a tranquility like that of a museum with a foundation in Japanese design. A sauna, multiple bathrooms, and a dining table large enough for a large group to gather around; this arrangement, welcoming just one group per day, intimately adapts to the unique purpose of each stay—whether as a base for winter sports, or as a venue for corporate training, workations, or a rental gallery. In the heart of the mountains, enveloped in the silence of the forest, please spend a special time with your loved ones.

Myoko Kogen
Experience the nature of Japan
Myoko Kogen lies on the border of Niigata and Nagano prefectures. Held in the embrace of Myōkō-Togakushi Renzan National Park, this land is alive with natural vistas such as Naena Falls, the Sasagamine Plateau, and Imori Pond. The area, overlooked by Mt. Myoko and Mt. Hiuchi of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains, is also known as one of the country's foremost heavy-snowfall regions and has in recent years become a destination for people from around the world seeking its high-quality powder snow.

Transportation and winter driving notice
Snow Goose stands in a quiet forest in the heart of Myōkō-Togakushi Renzan National Park, about a 10-minute drive from the Myoko Kogen Interchange. The nearest station, Myōkō-Kōgen, is approximately a 3-hour journey from Tokyo Station via the Hokuriku Shinkansen and a local train line. From the station, the lodge is about a 10-minute taxi ride. Please note that Myoko Kogen is one of Japan's heaviest snowfall regions. For your safety when driving during the winter period (approximately December to March), we strongly recommend a 4WD vehicle. Equipping your vehicle with winter (studless) tires and carrying snow chains is mandatory.
